“I’ve lost about 20 lbs since my sophomore year of college, so about 4 years ago. My freshman year was when I really gained all the weight. I was on a meal plan, which was basically an open buffet twice a day and I was partying a decent amount. I never had to worry about my weight before then, so I ate and drank whatever looked good that day. A few months later I started seeing stretch marks and realizing how much weight I was gaining. I started watching my portion sizes and cut back on the sweets and bad carbs and going to the school gym a couple times a week. That helped me loose the pounds slowly but surely, but it was hard for me to find motivation to want to go to the gym. I hit a plateau my sophomore year up until I graduated 2 years ago, and although I felt okay about how I looked and felt, I decided to join your boot camp once I moved back home. It was a 6-week Groupon trial and I went 5 days a week, all 6 weeks. By the end of the trial, I was in the best shape I could remember ever being in. After I found a full time job a few months later, I signed up for the full year, and although it is harder to make time to go now, having so many class times and motivating coaches makes it easier than it ever has been to keep a good workout routine. I keep the weight off now by making sure I get at least 7 hours of sleep every night, going to boot camp at least 3 times a week, drinking plenty of water (no juice or soda, except on special occasions), and a few months ago I became a pescatarian (not sure yet if that is really making a difference)!
