The fascial system is an amazing and not well known system within the body that greatly impacts fluidity of movement. Fascia, or connective tissue, is comprised of collagen, elastin, and a gel like material called ground substance. With trauma or repetitive movement, the body responds by going into protection mode and lying done more connective tissue. As a result, the gel that is underneath fascia changes state from fluid to solid. This is when most people notice a decrease in range of motion, pain or loss of fluidity.

The Trail Run & Hike Group will meet Saturday, August 23rd at 7:30 am: Cross Country Trail off Ralston in Belmont: Directions . Hikers and runners are welcome. Please invite your friends and family for this free community workout. I am excited to not be out of town and join you. We will do between 4-5 miles. You can do more or less, walk, jog or sprint 🙂
