How was 2015? Do you have a plan for 2016? Can I help?


2015 is coming to end! How did it turn out for you? Was it the year you expected? Better or worse?

I am happy to say that this year has been outstanding for my family, business and me, and I am looking forward to building on what I accomplished in 2015.

Although the year has been outstanding, it has not been easy. I feel that I tend to make things a little harder than they should be.

Can you relate?

I always thought life, success and happiness were a linear path if you paid your dues. I have learned that success and happiness is a windy road based upon WINS and “Perceived” Challenges.


Success or happiness is often the result of a consistent and strategic daily grind with WINS and Challenges throughout the day.

Sometimes it is tough to find a WIN if you feel a Loss. Can you find anything positive in the last 365 days?

What did you learn this year that can help you reach your goals in 2016 and beyond?

I’m certain that challenges presented themselves in 2015. You would be bored if they didn’t.

Were they new problems or the same old challenges you have been dealing with?

Tony Robbins says our biggest problem is that we think we shouldn’t have problems. What if we took a moment in quiet time, didn’t react and viewed our problems as gifts?

The only difference between problems and gifts is the meaning we give it. Out of our deepest pain will often come our greatest gifts, but this can only happen if you take control of the meaning.

What if we played the game of life differently in 2016 and we embraced pain and challenges?

What if we said “bring it on” instead of numbing or avoiding the problem like many do in our culture?

What if life is happening for us, not to us?

If you reflect back on your past and pick a time that was challenging, what have you learned from that experience? Who have you become as a result of that experience?

One of my biggest challenges in life was going bankrupt in 2009. I had a negative bank account, an unhappy wife (because I didn’t give her the attention she deserved), 2 year old daughter and another child on the way.

I learned I needed to move on and to give up on trying to make a business model work that wasn’t for many years. I learned to spend within my means. I learned as one door closes that another opens and GOD is with me through the thick & thin. I was never really alone although I felt I was.

I became stronger from the experience. Rather than just making quick decisions, I now do my best to discern to GOD. The experience has also allowed me to relate to others with similar financial problems. I now see problems as gifts (although still not at first) and I am very grateful for everything in life including you.

What if the divine is trying to teach you something from your challenges in 2015 and every obstacle in your life?

I want you to have an outstanding 2016 and I am committed to help even more people achieve success and happiness.

This Saturday, January 2nd @ 11 am, I am hosting a FREE Goals Workshop
at my Belmont studio for anyone that wants assistance creating a plan for successful goal achievement.

I have been helping people for 26 years now and I have figured out some key principles to speed this process up. Bring a notebook and pen and let’s create a game plan for success. Invite your friends and family members who will support you on your journey. More support the better!

The first 15 min. of the session we will go over the “foundations” to make the boot camp program successful, since we cancelled the 10:15 am Saturday Foundations session for the goal workshop. If you don’t come to the boot camp, you will still gain valuable info to make any exercise program successful.

Prior to workshop (or if you can’t attend), I want you to take some time for yourself in a quiet place and reflect on the following:

  • What were your WINS and Challenges in 2015?
  • What gifts can you now see from the challenges that you were presented in 2015?
  • What do you want to achieve in 2016? Create your SMART (Specific, Measureable, Attainable, Realistic and Tangible) Goals for the next 3 months.
  • What do you really want? Generally, what we think we want is not what we really need (i.e. if you want to lose weight, why?).
  • What are you going to do differently next year?
  • Do you need to reduce your stress ? Meditate? Exercise more? Eat better? Get more sleep?
  • Are you going to take your needs more seriously? (most fail because they are more concerned about other’s needs than self)
  • Or, will you allow 2016 to pass by without changing a thing?

Most of us don’t put much thought into reflecting on the year and what we want for the future because we are so distracted and over-committed with life. I fail here often myself.

I recommend taking the time for yourself and reflect on what you truly want NOW. If you don’t you will get distracted by something much less important and the end of the January will be here before you know it.

You may not be a writer, but I highly recommend writing down your answers to the above questions.

In addition, write your top 3 SMART Goals on colored paper and review them after you wake up and before you go to bed, so you will be constantly aware of your 2016 Goals.

Make the time, reflect, jot down your goals and create a game plan. I hope to see you on Saturday @ 11 am.
