Word of the Week: FOCUS

The word of the week this week is FOCUS. To focus is to concentrate attention or effort.

Do you tend to get distracted often? Are you often frustrated because you don’t get your to-do list or main priorities completed?

Have you wanted to achieve a goal for a while, but just can’t seem to find the time?

Where is your focus most of the day?

Tony Robbins often says, “Whatever you focus on is what you get” and “Where focus goes, energy flows.” If your energy is not flowing in the right direction, it’s time to change your focus!

You must get very clear on WHAT YOU WANT & WHY YOU WANT IT!

If you really want something you must remove all other distractions and put a deadline on the achievement of your goal.

One daily habit you can do to improve your focus is to get clear on the most important task you need to accomplish for the day,  write down the task and get it done first thing in the morning when you have the most energy.

During the non-productive times of my life,  I have put my most important tasks at the end of the day and reacted to life first, which never works out well. If you want to focus on what will move you forward in life, shut down your cell so you no longer get texts or calls, avoid your emails and social media and find a quiet environment with limited distractions.

“I don’t care how much power, brilliance or energy you have, if you don’t harness it and focus it on a specific target, and hold it there you’re never going to accomplish as much as your ability warrants.” – Zig Ziglar.
