The last time we did this group coaching program Roopali and Steve had amazing results.

Roopali lost 8 lbs. on her 1st week of the challenge and Steve lost 14 lbs. on his first week.

Progress is more likely when we have outstanding wins like this right?

Roopali thought her scale was broken given she has never had results like this so quickly. And she has worked with me quite a bit over the last 5 years.

Steve was pumped, but was also concerned if this kind of weight loss was ok?

Generally speaking I would say no and I am sure you are thinking the same thing right now.

However, both Roopali and Steve were eating freely accordingly to the approved foods, not counting calories and surely not starving.

I told Steve the following:

If you are not dieting or hungry all should be ok.

How is your hydration?

Energy?

Sleep?

Bowel movements?

He wrote back:
“I followed your program all week. So easy to do by the way. Drinking 1/2 to one gallon a day. Energy is off the charts. Sleep 7 to 8 hours through the night. Bowel movements have been great. Never had movements like this in 10 years. I usually have 3 to 4 a morning and run to the bathroom. Now 1 or 2 and no running.”

Sounds like success and a healthy way of life to me!

When I see results like these (and no these kind of results don’t happen with everyone) I immediately think…wow. This person was really doing harm to their body prior to working with me. But how?

There could be a few pain points like dehydration, breathing inefficiency, sleep issues, poor food quality, quantity, timing, combinations, etc. and overall more stress than the body can handle.

Often times when we remove 1 or two inflammatory foods the physiology is less stressed and less inflammation is created. Weight loss/weight gain is often a side effect of inflammation.

Steve went on to lose 35 lbs. in the 21 day challenge program; however, that is by no means normal for all. It is an exceptional one and thought I would share his story to show what could be possible. You can learn more about Steve’s transformation here: Success

I often tell our coaching clients that it is generally safe to lose an average 1-2 lbs .per week; however, it’s an average. Steve lost quite a bit more, but as long as he  didn’t starve or lose muscle, drop energy I am ok with it.

Rather then focusing on weight, I hope to encourage my coaching clients to pause the noise in life and listen to their body’s clues.
