Brien Shamp’s Belmont Boot Camp is fantastic, and a great experience for people of any age, size, and condition. My fellow students range from early twenties to early seventies, and we all rave about Brien. I see Brien’s niche as a group “personal trainer”. In addition to leading a fun exercise program that covers all body parts in creative ways, using the latest fitness philosophies, he talks about other important aspects of mind and body fitness: stretching, massage, sleep, diet, and meditation. Often his information is shared by emails, which frequently spring from conversations he has had with a client. Although this is a group experience, Brien is always available for one on one advice, either in person, by phone, or by email. He even encourages and mentors you when you (okay, I) have lapsed. And, he will persistently ask “what’s up” (again, email) if you’ve lapsed a bit too much. If you know Brien, you know this is not marketing.
Brien considers his clients his community. He offers to match up exercise buddies if you need one. There are so many good things to say about him, I can’t possibly think of them all. I adopt everything good that everyone else says.
I also love that he pays such close attention to good form while working out, and exercising “smart”. I.e., Tabata, etc.
Try Brien, you’ll like him!
