Stress Management Program
Life has its pressures! We, as individuals, vary in our capacity to cope with different types of pressure. Some pressure, even when high, can be a motivating and welcome challenge. However, pressure at a level we cannot cope with is likely to result in stress.
Brien Shamp has designed a Stress Management Program to fulfill your needs. Stress Reduction is the cornerstone of weight loss, pain reduction, improved sleep, athletic performance, efficiency and more. We offer several options that allow for a decrease in stress and an increase in balance and happiness. Metabolic Typing has proven to be successful because research has shown that certain foods can increase stress to the physiology and increase the succeptibility of digestive dysfunction, depression, pain and more.
Exercise can decrease or increase stress depending on the intensity, duration and activity. Each person
should move approximately 30 minutes a day; however, not all movement is beneficial. A specific exercise plan will be developed based upon the individuals’ needs and may include the following: self massage program (phase 1), corrective stretching program (phase 2), breathing recommendations, core program (phase 3), functional strength program (phase 4), aerobic training recommendations, and lifestyle recommendation (ergonomic tips, organizational & planning tips, etc). Additional therapies may be recommended: hypnotherapy, acupuncture and more.
