To Cheat or Not to Cheat

On Tuesday April 26, 2016 my special guest, Dr. Heidi Dulay and myself had a wonderful session on “to cheat or not to cheat”.

This topic is a hot one – always! Many of the women who participate in my boot camp challenge programs are scared to cheat on the approved cheat day, so I wanted to address this concept in more depth. After this coaching session with Dr. Heidi Dulay, I now recommend a full cheat day for future boot camp challenge programs.

Dr. Heidi Dulay, recommends a cheat day with all of her clients, who desire weight loss and she calls this special day the “Anything Goes Day”.

  • You will now hear me say AGD!
  • Here are a few key points from our coaching call:
  • AGD. 1 day per week
  • AGD decreases the feeling of deprivation, future binges, and improves metabolism.
  • AGD feels like a reward for a great week of discipline.
  • AGD will not make you fat.
  • During the week, write down all of the things you want to eat, but can’t, given your rules of the dietary program you are following.  This will help reduce cravings.
  • Give yourself permission to eat the foods on your desired list on your AGD.
  • Be non-judgemental on AGD.
