Gluten Free Deserts

If you have ever worked with me on nutrition and complained of any of the following: muscle or joint pain, blood pressure, weight gain, fibromyalgia, diabetes, chronic pain, and other auto-immune related issues, I most likely told you to take the gluten out of your diet for at least a month to see if your symptoms subside. Most people experience a major reduction in their symptoms in minimal time, but 1-3 months is usually ideal to eliminate a food stressor, especially a common allergen like gluten. We can also test to kow for sure.

Many are finding that they are allergic to wheat and gluten because it is commonly eaten in most meals of the day. Generally speaking, if you eat something every day you will develop a food sensitivity or allergy to that food. This is called a delayed food allergy which shows up 48-72 hours later. The symptoms of food allergies could be expressed as pain, sinus issues, allergies, bloating, gas, constipation, high blood pressure, and more. You might be thinking you do not have food allergies, but trust me… you do. We all do and I know because I test people all the time. For more infomation on testing go to CMP.

Going gluten free is really not that hard anymore. Whole Foods has tons of choices given going gluten free is popular right now. You still need to be careful of carbohydrate content, but here are a couple gluten free deserts for you to try: Coconut Cupcakes [download id=”49″] & Banana Cranberry Muffins [download id=”50″]. These recipes were taken from Apex Energetics, one of our preferred supplementation companies.

Enjoy and let me know what you think.
