Check out the latest article in Time Magazine, “Why Exercise Won’t Make You Thin” by John Cloud in the Sunday, Aug. 09, 2009 Issue.

Even though I am the CEO of the Optimal Fitness Lifestyle Center (Personalized Training Center in San Carlos) and have been a Personal Trainer for 19 years, I am in agreement with most of what John Cloud of Time Magazine states. He writes, “In short, it’s what you eat, not how hard you try to work it off, that matters more in losing weight. You should exercise to improve your health, but be warned: fiery spurts of vigorous exercise could lead to weight gain.”

There is no doubt that exercise has many benefits, but it is not the most effective model for weight loss.
