Lipitor, Neuromuscular Degeneration, and Recovery

Hi everyone,

 It is quite often I see a client on Lipitor with controlled cholesterol from the drug, but a side effect of muscular pain and weakness also from the drug. Many are taking this statin and others to reduce their risk of heart disease, but are they in fact increasing their risk of heart disease and pain? I no longer work with those on Lipitor who complain of connective tissue pain (muscle, tendon or ligament) because it is most often a waste of time for both the client and me. It is often a waste of money for the client also. Many times when Lipitor is substituted for another statin or alternative cholesterol lowering intervention the pain vanishes automatically.
