Word of the Week: Love

The word of the week this week is Love. 

Love is a deep commitment and connection to someone or something; An intense feeling of deep affection.

When we love someone, we experience positive thoughts and experiences apart from a deep sense of care and commitment toward that person. It is an emotion that keeps people bonded and committed to one another.

It’s a willingness to prioritize another person’s wellbeing or happiness above your own. Paradoxically, you must also love yourself and make YOU a priority to continue to give love & connection to others for the long run.

Love is Primal Need #5 of my self-care model (7 Daily Primal Needs). This week, connect with those that fill you up and avoid those who deplete you. Focus on positive loving interactions with your family and friends. Most importantly, talk lovingly with yourself as you were talking to your best friend.

Don’t forget that focusing on your first 4 Primal Needs will allow you to love to a greater degree and it will be sustainable.
