Word of the Week State: STATE

 

The word of the week this week is STATE.

Tony Robbins says you can change your “emotional state” in seconds and when you master your emotions, you master life.

There are three forces in the world that determine what you feel. Tony calls these forces the Triad (FOCUS, LANGUAGE, PHYSIOLOGY).

This week, whenever you feel anxious, fear, stressed or depressed, stop what you are doing and…

either change your FOCUS (focus on gratitude), your LANGUAGE (avoid negative self-talk/negativity by others) or your PHYSIOLOGY (get up and move, dance, slow down & breathe, hydrate, get more sleep, etc.)

You can also combine forces for an even better and longer lasting change in emotional state (i.e. slow down and breathe while journaling 3 things you are grateful for).

The word of the week this week is PRESENT.

Present is the period of time NOW occurring.

Where do you spend most of your time… The past, present or future?

Dwelling on the past or the future will only cause unnecessary stress.

“Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift of God, which is why we call it the present.” ― Bill Logan

Do you need to be more present in your life?

Do you rush through your day without recognizing the gifts that are presented to you each day?

Put a pause on life…

Whenever you can take slow, deep rhythmic breaths in and out of your nose.

Inhale for 5 s (feel the rib cage expand) > hold your breath for 5s > exhale through the nose for 5s (notice your rib cage relax).

While you are aware of your breathing, look around and notice all the abundance you have….your ability to control your breath, your heart, your healthy body, your clothing, your home, opportunities, family, friends, work, nature, etc.

This week, whenever you feel anxious, fear, stressed or depressed, stop what you are doing, be present, focus on slow deep breaths and at least 3 things you are grateful for NOW!
