“I would consider myself someone who likes to stay active and physically fit but needed a boost and change in my life. I first approached Brien around November of 2010 and joined his afternoon Boot Camps on Mondays and Wednesdays. He started me on the path to improving my health and worked with me with an old back injury (four herniated discs) that has been plaguing me for years. I noticed some changes but I could never break my plateau and stayed consistently around 189 lbs. Although I saw muscle coming on, I was still feeling lethargic throughout the day, had inconsistent sleep patterns, felt bloated, and still had back issues what would reoccur from time to time. I took the “traditional” way to try to fix these ailments by either going to my physician to see what was wrong and/or my chiropractor to help with the back issues and stiffness.
Throughout those months of Boot Camp, Brien had always brought up his Detox programs to me. That I would make a perfect candidate, to try it out and that it could help to achieve my overall goals. For months, I would ignore Brien’s suggestions and continue with the work out regiment. One day, Brien mentioned that he was starting a 10 day detox process, that was more intense than his 21 day detox. Thinking 10 days isn’t much to ask for, I figured, why not and finally took the plunge. I truly didn’t know what I was jumping into and found that it took a lot more work and will power than I had previously thought.
Ten days was no walk in the park, considering I started my 10 day program right when I had to travel to Philadelphia for a week due to work meetings. I packed all of my supplements, provided by Brien for this program and a little shaker so I can make my own shakes from the hotel. Immediately, after day 1 of the program I realized I was either going to step up to the plate and do this for myself and make it work or I was going to give in to all of the free catered food provided by the company. They even took us to a Philly’s game where we had a suite, all you can eat goodies, and an open bar!! Talk about temptation!!!
Well, I stayed the course and only ate vegetables, salads, drank a lot of water, took my supplements and my shake every day! Brien’s emails of encouragement and what I needed to take or do each day helped me to stay the course and to stay positive! He was dead on with his predictions and for the first 3 days, I had my typical cravings. Some old ailments came back that I haven’t had for years and I was thinking that I wasn’t going to make it. Come day 4, things changed for the better! I had a new sense of energy, my sleep patterns were better (remember, I was in a different time zone as well!) and I was losing a bit of weight.
By the end of this program, I ended up breaking my plateau and weighed in at 178lbs. A weight loss of about 11 lbs in just 10 days but more importantly, I no longer had those symptoms that had been plaguing me for years. I felt more alive, no longer lethargic throughout the day. My sleep patterns had improved and I no longer had that bloated feeling. That week following my detox, I went in to see my Chiropractor and he was in amazement as to how loose I was and my back pain was almost non existent. A huge improvement in comparison to when I had last seen him!
The 10 day program has come and gone now and I will admit that I have gone back to some old habits but the weight has stayed consistent where I am staying around 179lbs! Since I had so much success with the 10 Day Detox, I figured it was time to take the next step and I am now trying Brien’s 21 Day Detox program.
I highly recommend either program to any one out there considering it, who might need a change in their life and want to feel better about themselves!
