Word of the Week: LOVE

The word of the week is LOVE.

Love is a deep commitment and connection to someone or something; An intense feeling of deep affection.

It’s a willingness to prioritize another person’s wellbeing or happiness above your own. Paradoxically, you must also love yourself and make YOU a priority to continue to give love & connection to others for the long run.

Love, Connection and Contribution are Primal Need #5 of my self-care model (7 Daily Primal Needs). When I think of Primal Need #5, I think of ALL of your RELATIONSHIPS (Family, Friends, Co-workers, Social Media “Friends” and serving others).

How would you rate your relationships? Meh? Good? Better? Best?

Are you getting filled up or depleted?

Are you getting your needs met?

Who’s up for a Challenge this week?

Love, Connection & Contribution Challenge:
Good: Connect with yourself,  a friend or family member in someway that fills you up.
Better: Do better today than yesterday for meeting your love, connection & contribution needs.
Best: Connect with a friend or family member that fills you up and avoid those who deplete you. Talk lovingly with yourself as you were talking to your best friend. Do something positive for another.

Don’t forget that focusing on your first 4 Primal Needs will allow you to love to a greater degree and it will be sustainable.
