I hope you had an active weekend and fueled your body well!
Congrats to those that did activity related events over the weekend. We had participants in Bay to Breakers, the Gladiator Run and the San Carlos Fun Run. I participated in the San Carlos Fun Run and did my first 5K in 24 minutes. This 5k was harder for me than my last two Tough Mudders (11-13 miles). Given it was shorter, I attempted to run faster and keep up with the young skinny kids. Wow, I realized early that there was no way I could keep up. Those kids were fast!The top finishers completed the 5k in about 16 minutes. Clearly, I need to run more than 2x per month and run on pavement if I want to compete next year 🙂 I think I will stick with the trails and the obstacles..more my style and easier on the joints.
