Most of my clients come to me to lose body fat. From my 23 years of helping thousands of clients lose tons of fat, I have found that if your goal is solely to lose body fat, it is generally not a big enough goal to stay motivated for the long run.
I know it may feel like a big and very important goal to you, but as you may have found out it is very hard to be consistent with all the things necessary for long term fat and weight loss (food intake, sleep, exercise, keeping stress down, etc.) given all the obstacles we encounter each day.
One way to stay motivated to exercise consistently is to schedule a fitness event as I stated above.
Below, I have a few events for you to consider for 2013.
One great deal on a fitness event/challenge on August 10th can be purchased now on Living Social. Hurry it won’t last long. The Spartan Race is only $55 and it will be in Monterey, so fairly local. 2013 Team Shamp Fitness Event Schedule
3/23: San Francisco Fight for Air Climb – 555 California St. (Bank of America Building) *This is an American Lung Association Fundraiser. I don’t think there is a price for the event. The goal is to raise money. We will be doing the event with some of the San Mateo Firefighters who are in the Belmont Boot Camp Program.
