The holidays are officially here. Happy Hanukkah to all of you celebrating!
Two weeks ago I put some feelers out for families in need during the holidays because I wanted to give back to those struggling during this time of the year.
Of course it’s never great to be challenged by finances, but during the holidays is extra challenging and I have been there.
Back in 2009 right around now, I looked at my bank account and it was a negative #. Credit cards were maxed out, loans were maxed out, business was in the process of closing and going BK.
Life was very challenging, waking up at 5 am most days of the week for months knowing the life as I knew it was ending.
I had to sell my exercise equipment to pay rent for my apartment and to pay my staff I could no longer afford to keep. I felt that things could be no worse…I felt as if I let my staff down and my clients, my family as well as myself.
It wasn’t as if I was a complete failure. I always had success with clients, but I was a financial nightmare.
I rarely saw my wife Chris and 2 year old child, Maya unless they came to my business and I had another child on the way. You can imagine how our relationship was.
I can’t even remember Christmas that year but I do know we didn’t buy many presents because paying my rent and needing food was a little more important. I had lot’s of protein shakes and bars during those days!
Long story short…my financial challenges of the past were a gift that taught me many lessons. I got a very expensive business degree from HKLU (Hard Knock Life University).
I have been truly blessed by my friends, family, clients, mentors and the Lord, and I will always do my best to help those in need.
After putting out the word for families in need, unfortunately I got a number of them, but I have already committed to helping Community Overcoming Relationship Abuse (CORA) in San Mateo County.
They provide safety, support and healing for individuals who experience abuse in an intimate relationship, and educates the community to break the cycle of domestic violence. Their services include a 24-hour hot-line, support groups, legal services, emergency and transitional housing, and more, in English and Spanish.
This season CORA’s goal is to give every family $300 in gift cards (Target, Safeway, and gas gift cards). For more go to:CORA
Unfortunately time is running out to purchase gifts. They would like to receive funding by December 11th.
My mission is to raise $5,000 for families supported by CORA.
There are three ways to help:
- You can donate money here: www.corasupport.org, and there is a section at the end where you can note that it is for the holiday program (also add #shampsbootcamps so they know it came from our organization).
- CORA has teamed up with Samaritan House in San Mateo for their Toy Shoppe, which will enable their clients to pick toys for their families. Toys can be dropped off at Samaritan House in San Mateo. You can also leave them at my Harbor Studio if easier.
- Purchase my 21 Day Rapid Fat Loss Program for yourself or as a gift for a friend or family member (this is good for new clients who have never been in the program and those who haven’t been in the program for at least 6 months) that is guaranteed to produce results at the lowest price we can possible offer it which is just $67. All $67 goes to CORA. ENDS December 11th.
For that $67 you get:
1)Unlimited Group Personal Training (Normally $217 per month). You will receive unlimited access to our professional run group personal training sessions.
2)Nutrition & Lifestyle Coaching ($99 Value). We will teach you our proven stress management/fat loss model that has allowed our clients in the last 5 years to lose over 30,000 pounds and 30,000 inches.
3)Accountability and Support – Most gyms provide you access to equipment and that’s what you get with your membership. At our locations we hold you accountable and we pride ourselves on giving you all the tools and resources required for success!
Remember, 100% of this proceeds of this program goes to deserving families in need.
You get to flatten, tone, and strengthen your entire body when the average person is gaining 5+ of fat over the next 30 days while also helping families in desperate need of some help this holiday season.
That’s a true win/win!
Lets burn the fat this holiday season and help others in need!
Just go here to get started on the 21 day fat loss program. This will make a great gift idea! Stocking stuffer?
Your friend & coach,
Brien
