Are You Scared?

Happy Saturday,

  • How many of you are living the life of your dreams?
  • Do you hit the snooze button and dread going to work every day?
  • Do you dread going home to the same situation every night?

I find that many clients I work with at the Optimal Fitness Lifestyle Center are STUCK and they come to my Staff & I for coaching to get them through their STUFF. They have gotten themselves into patterns that are not contributing to their goals and dreams and our goal is to assist them every step of the way.

My main objectives are to educate and motivate and to change lifestyles as needed. I am all about RESULTS and I will give you a plan to achieve RESULTS QUICKLY. I am good at creating results because I have been in the health, wellness and personal growth business for 19 years. I have worked with thousands of people all over the world and I have personally been coached by some of the best. With any profession, you become better with time, especially if you have passion for what you do. I love what I do and figuring out how to help people is constantly on my mind. There is nothing I would rather do and I appreciate all of you who thank me for your success.

Interesting thing is that I have given some people recommendations and they have not followed through even though they have paid good money for the coaching. Others are thinking about coming to Optimal Fitness and have been thinking about it for months and for others’ years. Why is it that some are coachable and why do some just go for it and do what is needed to achieve their goals?

Why do we not do what is needed to improve our lifestyles when we know we should?

FEAR is one of the answers but there are many more.

How many of you fear the work that is needed to reach your goals?
Do you fear the change that is needed in your diet to look and feel your best?

We all have fears. They can be crippling, they can bring us to depression and ultimately debilitate us. They can also liberate us and cause us to take action, grow and move forward towards a greater life.

Here are my FEARS that present themselves as obstacles from time to time¦

Not having all the answers

I have always had the fear of failure given my Father taught me that failing was not an option. Back in my baseball days, when I played badly I was told to work harder. We practiced the skill I needed to work on over and over again until I perfected it. By the way…this was not a fun time in my life. Rejection was something that occurred over time, but the most drastic situation was when I moved from San Francisco to San Carlos in 7th grade. I was the new kid on the block and found it hard to fit in. The fear of not knowing all the answers most likely stems from my past baseball days also. I am constantly learning, asking questions, going to seminars, reading and following the best in my business so I can be armed with knowledge. Lastly, I fear belly fat because after all I am a trainer and give people nutrition advice. Would people really respect me if I had excessive belly fat?

Make no mistake; FEAR will be something you come up against for the rest of your life.

So what does that tell you? That ultimately when you break through your barriers known as FEARS you will pave the way for your continued growth and MASSIVE success. Will you be rejected? I damn well guarantee it.

What you can control though is what fear means to you, and what you do with fear when it rears its ugly head. Do you hide, or do you step up to the plate and tackle it head on.
