Boot Camp Member Updates (NEW 2016- 90 Day Member Challenge Starts Friday, New Schedule, Foundations Session Sat)

Happy 2016 Boot Camp Community!

We are starting the year off with a bang! Great to see many of you back after the holidays. We have some new stuff planned to make this year the very best.

  • The NEW Member – 2016 “I am a Priority” Transformation Challenge starts tomorrow (Friday). Registration will be for two weeks (until Jan 22nd), but tomorrow is Day 1. For more information and to register: https://brienshamp.com/programs/transformation-challenge/ Only $35 for members for a chance to win up to $1000 to achieve your 2016 goals. I recommend all those wanting to lose body fat and weight join the challenge to have an added deadline for your goal achievement. We all do better with a deadline. The deadline for this challenge will be April 6th. 2015 Holiday Transformation Challenge Finalists and Winners will be announced very soon.
  • Brien Shamp’s Boot Camps/Fit Body Boot Camp is the official sponsor of the Spartan Sprint @ AT&T Park May14th >>> http://www.spartan.com/en/race/detail/1288/overview. This is a great event for those new to Obstacle Course Racing (only 3.5 miles) and those who want to see AT&T park. It’s also a great way to set a deadline for your fitness goals in 2016! We have a team for the event (Team: Shamp’s Boot Camps). I will have a booth onsite, swag to handout to those on the team and I have 4 discounted tickets for $100 each left. I also have additional coupon codes after I sell my 10 tickets. Let me know if you want one or more of the tickets.
  • Please see the attached New Boot Camp Schedule starting next Monday. We have added a new 7:45 am session MWF at the Harbor studio in Belmont to free up the 8:30 am session. There are slight differences in the other morning sessions in Belmont to accommodate this new session. The 7:10 am sessions at San Mateo Gymnastics in Belmont will also be changed to 7 am. It is best to view the online schedule daily here: https://brienshamp.com/boot-camp-schedule/ or with your mobile APP: https://brienshamp.com/mobile-app/ and sign up for sessions. The same coaches will be coaching the sessions.
  • Weekly Coaching Webinars/Calls (30 min) will start each week starting next Tuesday @ noon and Wednesday @ 6:30 pm. The purpose of these calls is to assist you with your questions and to focus on the nutrition & lifestyle side of the equation (the important stuff). Each week we will also have a different topic. This Tuesday will be the Holiday Belly Burn Program. Please join us by registering below:

  • Come join me this Saturday for Foundations Program at the Harbor Studio (10:15 -11 am). This weekly program is designed to prepare new clients for the boot camp program and to help existing clients with specific needs.  Each session will have a different emphasis based upon the week and the participants in the session. This week we will do another goals workshop for those who could not make the event last week and for our new clients. Please bring a notebook to write things down as needed. Please RSVP here: https://brienshamp.com/boot-camp-schedule/
  • Late policy: We don’t officially have one as we are all adults and I understand that many of us are over-committed, but if you are on time, you are late for the boot camp program. Ideally you should arrive  5-10 minutes early to do the self massage program prior to the workouts to get the most out of the workouts and to reduce likelihood of injury. We now have foam rolls in the lobby of the studio waiting to be used before sessions J We do specific breathing, mobility exercises, review of the workouts and assign small group all in the first 10-15 min of each session, so you get the most out of the program. I have done this fitness thing for 26 years now and this warm-up process is very important. It is also disruptive to the others in the sessions when you are late. If you are more than 10 minutes, you should attend the next session.
  • Sweat Angels Cause of the Month: All you have to do is check in on Facebook when you’re at your session. Belmont & San Carlos clients check in >> here << . Burlingame clients check in >> here <<. Every 15 check-ins provides a warm winter coat through a great charity called Soles4Souls.
  • Current Promotion for New & Returning Clients: 6 Week – New Year’s Revolution. Please refer your friends, but let them know that 5:30 am & 4:30 pm at the Harbor Studio in Belmont is full.

Whew! That’s it for now. I look forward to you be your best self in 2016!

Your friend & coach,

Brien
