I hope your week and the start of your 4th Quarter are going great!

I have been plugging away, catching up from the emails on the weekend.

I did my best to limit my time on the computer this weekend. I spent extra time on Facebook 🙂

Seriously, I did spend more time outside of work with my family and it was great. We had very few plans on the to do list (AKA Google Calendar), which is good for us.

Having a list of to do’s on Google or with paper to organize your day is highly recommended, but limiting your to do’s is very important for stress reduction, especially on the weekends.

Ever since school started for my kids life has been a blur. Having kids is no joke (even though they look so cute): school events, soccer practice, theater, Taekwondo, pack their lunches, sleep routine, make sure they eat, do their homework, clean up and one hundred more things. Why can’t they be like our cats…super simple 🙂 Thank God for my wife, otherwise we would be in serious trouble.

I applaud all of you parents out there as I know you have your hands full.

As we start the 4th and final quarter of 2016, I want to remind you to Make Yourself A Priority!

This message is focused on you parents, but to all of you that need to focus more on YOU.

PLEASE NOTE: There will never never be the perfect time to take care of your needs.

Actually, the time was YESTERDAY!

Everyday that goes by which you neglect your needs the less people you can actually help in this lifetime.

How long will you really be able to help those you care about?

What are you doing to nourish your mind, body and soul daily?

Now is a great time to reflect on the first, three quarters of 2016, to celebrate your victories, and to focus on how you are going to complete the rest of the year.

  1. What is going well?
  2. What is not?
  3. Where are you stuck?
  4. What needs to change?
  5. Are you getting your quiet time daily?
  6. Are you drinking enough water?
  7. Are you following a nutrition plan?
  8. Are you getting at least 7 hours sleep each night?
  9. Are you spending time with people who fill you up and avoiding those who deplete you?
  10. How is your daily movement?

Be honest with yourself when answering the questions above. Doing so will help guide your decisions, so you improve your outcomes.

Take action on what you NEED to do to achieve your goals and make it your first priority as soon as you wake up.
