Write Down Your Goals For 2012 & Your Game Plan-Fat Loss Tip #34 (FREE GIFT FOR YOU INSIDE)

I have written quite a bit on the big question…What do you really want?

In Fat Loss Tip #33, I briefly mentioned the importance of Writing Down What You Really Want, Your Goals and Your Game Plan To Get There, but did not go into detail how to optimize this processThis is Fat Loss Tip #34

I use a model for achieving all that I want in life and I am going to share it with you below. It can be an involved process, but it works if you commit to it!

Not only do I write down what I really want, I write down specific goals with dates that I will accomplish them. Next, I create a game plan to get there. I list my potential obstacles, my support system and more.

One of the most important tips to goal achievement is to then review your goals and plan of action daily, given it is so easy to get distracted.

One of the goals I listed on my goal form is below:

It is now January 31, 2012 and I am stronger, faster, more muscular and feeling good about Tough Mudder in February. I feel confident and like the definition I am seeing.

My game plan for achieving this goal is to achieve daily exercise after my classes- strength & core work 3-4 days per week with 2 runs. On Thursdays, I will run approx. 3 miles and on Sundays I will do my long run (5-8 miles) with my running group at 8 am.

I had a great run  today, but at the very end of my run, I sprained my ankle and I was in a lot of pain. Luckily, I have done this before and helped hundreds of others with their ankle rehab.

This could be a major obstacle and deter me from my goals, but what I did was modify the game plan. I added a few more things now that I need to get my ankle back to 100%:  anti-inflammatory & ligament strengthening protocols (ice, hot-cold contrast, fish oils, ligaplex 1, homeopathic remedies, calcium/magnesium, compression, elevation, acupuncture, infrared sauna and more).

Now, I will not let this ankle sprain get me down or throw me off too much. The ankle will be black & bruised tomorrow, but I will continue on my path.
