And the Ipad mini goes to…..

In January, I ran two – 6 week body transformation challenges and the winners are announced below.

The 6 week body transformation program was specifically designed to burn fat and tone muscles during the workout, and then to give the campers a coveted “after burn” effect so they would burn more fat once they left the workout session.

“After burn” is the state of heightened metabolism that occurs after a really good workout when certain variables take place during the workout session. In fact, it’s scientifically proven that you can go into after burn and torch more calories for as much as 18 hours after a workout.

The participant with the most points at the end of the program won over $700 in prizes including an iPad Mini and a makeover worth over $300. There were 4 ways of getting points including losing weight and % body fat.

The winner from the first challenge was Vic T.

Vic lost 12.6% body fat and 23 pounds in only 6 weeks!

The winner of the second challenge was Deborshi (Nish) M.

Nish lost 5.7% body fat and 14 pounds also in only 6 weeks.

Both Vic & Nish also improved their fitness levels considerably pre & post challenge.

Both Vic and Nish will be awarded an Ipad Mini and their very own makeovers. Congrats to you both and to all of the other campers who did awesome during the challenge.

Interestingly enough, I have never had a male winner and in both challenges a male won.

Although there was only one winner in each of the challenges, the following campers deserve an honorable mention for their results in only 6 weeks:

  • Gary B. – reduced 10% body fat and improved fitness.
  • Tim H. – lost 10.6 pounds and did not miss a class in 6 weeks!
  • Teresa A. – lost 7 pounds and 6.8% body fat.
  • Lori H. – lost 7 pounds and committed to the program.
  • Poonam- continues to get better each month. She started at over 160 lbs. in October 2012 with a body fat of 44%. Now she is 131.4 lbs. and 35.3% body fat.
  • Patti L. – continues to improve and lost 4.9% body fat in the last 6 weeks. She competed in her first Tough Mudder in September and is now a committed trail runner and boot camper.
  • Brian O. – lost 5.7% body fat and continues to improve.
  • Teri S. – continues to get better losing 4.8% body fat.
  • New comers Renee E. lost 4.3% and Kate B. lost 5.8% body fat. They both significantly improved their fitness performance as well.
