My current morning routine

If you’ve been keeping up this month, you’ll know we’ve been diving deep into the power of routines this month. Especially routines that help you get your day off to a GREAT start.

I thought it might be helpful to see what my own personal morning routine looks like!

“It wasn’t always like this, and changes according to whether the kids are in school or not.” “I’ve had this same basic routine for 10 years because I am a firm believer in “if it’s not broken, don’t fix it.” “When I made my own lifestyle transformation a few years ago, I overhauled my mornings and I haven’t looked back.”

My #1 priority for my own morning routine: “Set a healthy foundation for myself and my family.” “Make sure I’m fueled mentally and physically and ready to go for my morning clients, because if I’m asking them to ‘bring it,’ I better be ready to “bring it” too!” “Start my day in a calm, peaceful way so that I feel centered.”

5:40 a.m. – Wake up, drink 24 oz. of filtered water and then add additional Pre Workout powder to another 4 oz of water. I then typically use essential oils like Peppermint or Lemon to bring me energy and focus. 

I then do some self-massage with my foam roll or a hypervolt (you can get a similar device for a lower cost) followed by a workout starting with posture and mobility work. Check out this article and videos for how to best prepare for workouts 

After my workout, I drink a recovery drink like BCAA Powder  and then jump in the shower. I typically eat about an hour after my workout in order to fast for approximately 14 hours.

After I get my needs met, I spend some time with the family, do my meditation time and then get to work. 
 
Your routine will probably look different than mine! 

What makes it work for me is it gives me buffer time in case something unexpected pops up,” “that I do most of the heavy lifting of my routine the night before,” “it’s fast and simple.”
