What Do You Really Want? Fat Loss Tip #33 (10 Days Left To Accomplish 2011 Goals & Resolutions)

Happy Wednesday!

I just finished reviewing my goals for 2011-10 days left to accomplish  Goals & New Year’s Resolutions for 2011. Did you make any? How is it going?

It’s cool to look back and see what worked and what did not. It is even cooler to have achieved what you wanted.

Interestingly enough you can still accomplish a lot in the next 10 days.

Earlier in the year Rob dropped 11 pounds in 10 days with the 10 Day Detox. Gini lost 6 pounds, reduced her cravings and improved her sleep quality with the 10 Day Detox. In Fat Loss Tip #21- Commit to Something, I briefly mentioned that goal achievement is based upon your values.

“If you really want fat loss you will commit to losing the fat and figure it out. Nothing will get in your way and you will succeed. There are plenty of solutions, but success requires work.”

Fat Loss Tip #33- What Do You Really Want?

You need to be specific about your goals and how you are going to achieve them. Many are waiting for life to bring them something instead of taking action on the direction of their lives.

Contrary to what one may believe, you do have control over many aspects of your life and your destiny. Your destiny is based upon your habits and most of the time the end result is based upon your values.

Here are some questions to consider for your 2012 Goals:

  1. What do you really want? What is the deeper reason why you want to lose body fat, look & feel better? Take your time here and reflect on this question for a couple days.
  2. What are your life values? Does losing body fat and attaining true health & fitness rank high? If not, goal achievement will not happen.
  3. What is the plan of action (game plan) that will allow you to achieve your goals? How is the end result going to be different this time around if you have had this goal before? *Many need help with this area and this is where I come in.

By writing down what you really want, your values and an action plan you are on your way to success in 2012. It is even better to meet with someone frequently to discuss what is going on with you and your goals.

I meet with Liz, my Spiritual Director every 4 weeks. She allows me to make sense of life and find temporary peace. Ronald Rolheiser says,  “We are forever restless, dissatisfied, frustrated, and aching. We are so overcharged with desire that is hard to come to simple rest. Desire is always stronger than satisfaction.”

My desire for things unrelated to my health & fitness is often an obstacle to my success also.

Review your goals daily, preferably in the mornings to keep what you want in your awareness. It is so easy to get distracted.

Don’t keep what you really want in life a secret. Share it with your friends, family members and co-workers. You will find out those who support you and those who don’t. Remember, Don’t Try To Do It Alone– Fat Loss Tip #30

Again, it is not too late for success in 2011. How do you want to finish the year? What do you really want? I know it is hard, but don’t give up. Ask for help and you shall receive.
